VILLAGE OF SPAULDING IS ACCEPTING PROPOSALS
The Village is currently accepting proposals for ditch grading, cleaning, and jetting of culverts throughout the village. A separate proposal will be accepted for ditch and tree cleanup and removal regarding the IGA pond and drainage on Schneider Place. It is the Village’s intent to award this contract to a single company, although the Village reserves the right to award one or multiple contracts as it may be in its best interest.
All proposals must include:
Proof of commercial general liability, automobile liability insurance, and Workers’ Compensation insurance. The Village must be identified as an additional insured. Commercial General Liability limits must be no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury, and property damage and $1,000,000 per occurrence for personal injury. Business Automobile Liability limits must be no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident for bodily injury and property damage.
Guaranteed completion of work within 30 days of executed contract (up to five (5) additional days for weather)
Contractor registration with the Village
POTENTIAL BIDDERS WILL NEED TO MEET AT SPAULDING VILLAGE HALL 111 E. PRAIRIE ST. AT 10AM ON SATURDAY JUNE 3, 2023. THE EXTENT OF THE PROJECT WILL BE SHOWN TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS.
All bids must be hand delivered to the Village or addressed to: Village of Spaulding, Attn: Ditch Proposals, PO Box 110, Spaulding, IL 62561. Please include your name, address and phone number for notification of successful bidder.
Complete sealed bid and proof of insurance must be received by Friday, June 9, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. Bids will be opened at the scheduled regular Board Meeting Monday, June 12, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The Village of Spaulding reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicality and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Village. The successful bidder will enter a contract with the Village covering the provision of these services within 30 days of bid award. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).

The Village of Spaulding has scheduled a hearing before its Zoning Board of Appeals for Monday, June 5, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, 111 E Prairie St., Spaulding, IL 62561, to consider the following petitions:
Petition of James S. & Analeis J Baumhardt for a variance of residence for the building of a 32’ x 48’ barn with 10” interior height for the property located at 148 N. Allen St. (PIN 15-04.0-226-016).
Petition of Pam Gray for a variance of section 34-2-17 split the large lot house on North and lot with only garages on South for PT NW ¼ and SE ¼ Lying SE of U.S. 54 4-16-4 for the property at 401 S. Allen St. (PIN 15-04.0-451-015).
The Zoning Board of Appeals will make recommendations regarding the petition(s) and any proposed map or amendment(s) to the Village Corporate Authorities for further action.

Job Duties
Mowing & Trimming, operating a backhoe, loading, and unloading dump truck, throwing patch, Plowing Snow, trimming trees, maintaining ditches, other general maintenance.
MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM ALL JOB DUTIES
Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age and poses a valid Illinois Driver’s License
Be able to pass a background check and drug test.
